Ex-NNPP Ogun gov’orship candidate, Amb Ajadi defects to PDP

Former Ogun State governorship candidate under the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi, has officially dumped the NNPP and moved to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). His defection marks a major political shift in the state ahead of future elections.

Ajadi announced his decision at a political gathering, stating that joining the PDP was necessary for him to continue his mission of serving the people and contributing to governance. He explained that he believes the PDP offers a more stable and united platform to achieve meaningful development in Ogun State.

The former NNPP candidate also thanked his supporters for standing by him and urged them to follow him to the PDP. According to him, the move is not just about politics but about pursuing the right environment to deliver positive impact and strong leadership for the people.

PDP leaders in Ogun State welcomed Ambassador Ajadi, describing his entrance as a boost for the party. They praised his dedication to public service and assured him of full support as he joins efforts to strengthen the party’s structure and influence across the state.

With the build-up to the next election cycle already gaining momentum, Ajadi’s defection is expected to reshape political calculations in Ogun State. Analysts say the move may attract more supporters and could play a role in determining future electoral contests in the state.
