Senate confirms Kingsley Ude as minister to replace Uche Nnaji

The Nigerian Senate has officially confirmed Kingsley Ude as a new minister, replacing Uche Nnaji. His confirmation followed a screening session where he answered questions on national development, governance, and public service delivery. Lawmakers expressed confidence in his qualifications and capacity to serve in the federal cabinet.

During the screening, senators stressed the importance of strong leadership and accountability in government ministries. Ude pledged to work hard, support reforms, and contribute to policies aimed at improving the economy and strengthening national stability. He also thanked President Bola Tinubu for nominating him for the position.

Ude’s appointment comes after Uche Nnaji exited the federal cabinet, creating a vacant ministerial position. The Senate moved swiftly to fill the role to ensure continuity in the administration’s policy agenda and ongoing government programs. Senators highlighted the need for consistency in governance to avoid delays in national projects.

Reacting to his confirmation, Ude assured Nigerians that he would hit the ground running and collaborate closely with stakeholders for effective service delivery. He emphasized transparency, youth empowerment, and economic growth as core areas he intends to support in his ministerial capacity.

With his confirmation, Nigerians now look forward to how Kingsley Ude will bring value to the government team and support President Tinubu’s development plan. Citizens and political observers will be watching closely as he assumes office in the coming days.
