They’re being slaughtered by radical Islamists – US lawmaker excited as Trump designates Nigeria

US lawmaker Riley M. Moore has praised former President Donald Trump for designating Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) over alleged attacks on Christians. Trump made the announcement on Friday, citing claims that Christians in Nigeria are being targeted and killed.

Before the designation, Moore had claimed that more than 30 Christians were being killed daily by extremists in Nigeria. However, the Nigerian government rejected those claims, insisting that the country’s security challenges have no religious motive and affect citizens of all faiths.

Trump, in a post on his platform, said the United States would not ignore reports of killings in Nigeria. He described the move as a step toward protecting vulnerable groups, especially religious minorities.

Reacting on his X (Twitter) account, Moore thanked Trump and commended him for what he called strong and courageous leadership. He also expressed commitment to supporting efforts to protect Christians, stating that the designation was necessary to stop violence against them.

Moore added that he was proud to work alongside Trump and other lawmakers to defend Christians facing attacks in Nigeria, referring to those responsible as extremist groups.
