Osun Babes have announced important changes to their technical team as they prepare for the 2025–26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season. The club, fondly called the Omoluabi Babes, is looking to rebuild and strengthen their squad after earning promotion back to the top flight.
One of the key updates sees Damilola Wakilu promoted from his previous position as team curator to become the second assistant coach. Wakilu recently completed a coaching program at the Nigeria Institute of Sports (NIS), giving him the qualifications to take on this new role. His rise within the club signals a commitment to developing talent both on and off the pitch.
Meanwhile, Olayinka Oyeleye will continue to serve as the first assistant coach, maintaining his role from previous seasons. The club has also added Bamidele Olufemi and Rinde Lahan to the management team, further strengthening their structure as they get set for a competitive campaign.
Osun Babes are gearing up for a big return after being relegated during the 2022–23 season. With new technical reinforcements and a determined mindset, the team hopes to make a strong impression and stay competitive in the league this time around.
The 2025–26 NWFL season officially kicks off on Wednesday, November 26, and Osun Babes will be eager to start their comeback journey on a positive note.
