Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has dismissed claims linking Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen with a move to Barcelona ahead of the upcoming transfer windows. Recent rumours suggested the Nigerian star was already in discussions with the Spanish giants, but Romano says that is not the case.
Osimhen sealed a permanent switch to Galatasaray last summer after a successful loan spell and has continued to shine in Turkey. The Super Eagles forward has scored six goals in nine matches across all competitions this season, attracting interest from major European clubs once again. His strong form naturally sparked speculation about a potential move to La Liga.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano clarified that Barcelona are indeed searching for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, whose contract ends in 2026. With the Polish striker likely to leave on a free transfer, the Catalan club is assessing several forward options for the future.
However, Romano stressed that there have been no negotiations between Barcelona and Osimhen so far. He explained that although Osimhen remains a top talent admired by many clubs, he is currently focused on his career at Galatasaray and has not held talks with any team regarding a move.
For now, Barcelona are only exploring the striker market and evaluating potential signings, while Osimhen continues to lead Galatasaray’s attack. Fans will be watching closely, but according to Romano, any talk of a Barcelona-Osimhen deal at this point is only speculation.
