Politics in Nigeria shambolic – Odumodublvck

Nigerian rapper and singer Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has shared his thoughts on the state of politics in Nigeria, describing it as “shambolic.” The artist spoke during a recent episode of the BET Talks Podcast, where he reflected on how political power affects human behavior and leadership.

Odumodublvck stated that power often changes people, noting that even a well-intentioned leader can be influenced negatively by corrupt individuals around him. “When you give a man power, it never really goes as planned. If he’s bad, the bad people will make him worse; if he’s good, bad people will still try to contaminate the good,” he said, stressing that Nigeria’s political space is chaotic like in many other parts of the world.

The rapper also lamented the way Nigerians view governance, saying most citizens wrongly place all blame on the president while ignoring other leaders who also hold responsibility. He emphasized that real accountability should start from the grassroots. “Nigerians have been so brainwashed that when there’s a problem, they only think of the president,” he added.

According to him, local government officials such as councillors, chairmen, and senators must also be held accountable since they directly represent the people. Odumodublvck argued that focusing solely on the president creates a false sense of leadership failure, while corruption at lower levels continues unchecked.

He concluded by urging Nigerians to develop a better understanding of how governance works and demand accountability from every public officer. The rapper’s comments reflect the growing frustration among young Nigerians about leadership and political responsibility in the country.
