Billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has publicly apologised to users of his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), for the recent issues affecting the app’s performance. Musk admitted that the glitches and algorithm challenges have caused frustrations among users but assured that his engineering team is working tirelessly to resolve them.
The apology came through a brief statement shared on Friday, where the Tesla and SpaceX CEO acknowledged the concerns of millions of users who had complained about irregular algorithm behavior, reduced post visibility, and engagement drops. Musk emphasized that improvements are already underway to restore optimal functionality.
“We’re working hard to fix it,” Musk said, noting that his team has been focusing on refining the platform’s algorithm to ensure smoother user experience and better content reach.
Since taking over Twitter in 2022 and rebranding it to X, Musk has introduced several updates, including changes to the verification system, ad policies, and content ranking mechanisms. While some updates have been praised for innovation, others have drawn criticism for inconsistency and technical bugs.
Despite the temporary setbacks, Musk reassured users that X remains committed to improving transparency, algorithm fairness, and user satisfaction. He expressed confidence that once the ongoing technical issues are resolved, users will enjoy a faster and more reliable platform.
