EPL: ‘He’s got everything’ – Harry Maguire names Man United that has impressed him

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has praised new goalkeeper Senne Lammens for his impressive performances in recent matches. The young Belgian joined United from Royal Antwerp during the summer transfer window in an £18 million deal.

Lammens was brought in as a replacement for Andre Onana, who struggled to meet expectations at Old Trafford after arriving from Inter Milan. The 21-year-old has quickly made a strong impression, earning praise after back-to-back appearances against Sunderland and Liverpool.

Speaking after United’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield, Maguire admitted he was impressed by Lammens’ confidence and maturity. “I must say I’m heavily impressed by Senne Lammens,” Maguire said. “I don’t want to get carried away, but he’s got everything — great ability and personality — especially for such a tough position at Manchester United.”

The England international highlighted that goalkeeping at Manchester United comes with intense pressure, but Lammens has shown calmness and composure beyond his age. His strong performances have helped restore some confidence to United’s defense in recent games.

Earlier, manager Ruben Amorim cautioned fans not to draw early comparisons between Lammens and United legend Peter Schmeichel, following the goalkeeper’s solid debut in the 2-0 win over Sunderland. Still, supporters are excited to see how far the young Belgian can go at the club.
