We are expecting more defectors, they will enjoy equal rights in APC – Party chairman

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yiltwatda, has reaffirmed that all new members defecting to the ruling party will be given equal rights and privileges as long-standing members.

Speaking during an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting held at the Crest Hotel in Jos, Plateau State, Yiltwatda announced that several key figures from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are set to officially join the APC next week. He added that arrangements have been finalized for their formal defection, which includes serving and former governors as well as National Assembly members.

The APC chairman emphasized that the party’s doors remain open to everyone committed to its vision and values. “Those defecting to the APC will enjoy the same rights and privileges as those who have been with us from the beginning. We believe in fairness and equal treatment for all members,” Yiltwatda stated.

He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for promoting inclusive governance, describing him as a leader who has given minorities, especially in Plateau State, a greater voice in national affairs. According to Yiltwatda, the president’s leadership style reflects fairness and unity across all regions.

The APC chairman concluded by urging party members to remain united and support Tinubu’s administration, noting that his performance has inspired confidence and loyalty ahead of the 2027 general elections.
