The Kwara State Government has dismissed claims that any part of the state is under attack by bandits, describing the statement allegedly made by Labour Party’s Peter Obi as false and misleading.

In a statement issued in Ilorin, the government said there is no local government area currently facing bandit attacks in the state. Officials emphasized that Kwara remains one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria and continues to maintain strong security collaboration with federal agencies.

The statement further advised public figures to verify information before making public comments, especially on sensitive national security matters that could cause panic among citizens.

Kwara authorities reassured residents of their safety, stressing that security personnel are alert and fully in control of the situation across the state.
