Presidential hopeful Peter Obi and the House of Representatives member for Amuwo-Odofin, Hon. George Adegeye, popularly known as Omogeye, visited the Auto Parts Plaza at Tradefair Complex. They joined other prominent figures for a joint meeting with market stakeholders.
At the meeting were the President of BBA/ICC, President of Auto Parts, President of APT, along with leaders of other key markets and top industry players.
This visit came just a day after traders in the Tradefair Markets staged a massive protest that completely shut down the markets for hours. Media outlets were present to cover the protest and share traders’ grievances.
The closure of the market gates left customers stranded outside the complex, with a large crowd gathered around the flyover underbridge area. Many were visibly frustrated, as no one was allowed entry while the protest was ongoing.
