Two Nigerians Arrested , Drugs Worth ₦1.31 Billion Seized In Bengaluru

Authorities in Bengaluru, India, have arrested two Nigerian nationals in connection with a major drug bust. Security operatives confirmed that the suspects were caught with narcotics valued at over ₦1.31 billion, making it one of the biggest seizures in the region in recent months.

The police revealed that the drugs were meant for large-scale distribution across the city. Investigations showed that the suspects had been operating within a drug trafficking network, using apartments as storage points to conceal the illegal substances. Officials stressed that the crackdown was part of an ongoing effort to combat rising drug abuse and organized crime in India.

Both suspects are currently in custody as further investigations continue. Authorities say they are working with international security agencies to trace the wider network behind the operation. This arrest has once again raised concerns about cross-border drug trafficking and the involvement of foreign nationals in such crimes.
