The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has halted the supply of crude oil and gas to the Dangote Refinery. The union said the action was taken over unresolved issues between its members and the management, stressing that workers’ welfare and industry standards must not be ignored.
According to reports, the suspension could affect the refinery’s operations, which play a key role in Nigeria’s energy sector. The Dangote Refinery is seen as one of the country’s biggest projects aimed at reducing reliance on imported fuel, and the disruption may cause delays in production and distribution.
PENGASSAN maintained that until their concerns are addressed, the stoppage will continue. Stakeholders are now calling for dialogue between the union, the government, and Dangote management to prevent a crisis that could affect fuel supply across the country.
