Fear and sorrow filled a community in Zamfara State after armed bandits attacked a mosque during Friday prayers, opening fire on worshippers. Eyewitnesses said the attackers invaded the mosque while people were praying and shot multiple people dead on the spot. The sudden violence caused chaos as others ran for safety.

Residents described the incident as shocking, noting that the sacred space of worship was turned into a scene of bloodshed. Many condemned the attack, calling it a cruel act against innocent people.
