Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Nigerian chef Hilda Baci after she received fresh recognition from Guinness World Records.
On Monday, Guinness World Records officially confirmed that Hilda had set a new record for preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. The dish weighed 8,780 kilograms and was cooked during a record-breaking event held at Eko Hotel in Lagos last Friday.
Atiku, in a post shared on his official X account on Tuesday, praised Hilda and her partners for the outstanding achievement.
“Congratulations to Hilda Baci and Gino for setting a new world record with the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. This shows that Nigerians can break barriers, set new standards, and inspire the world,” he wrote.
The former vice president also commended Nigerians at home and abroad, saying their success stories in different areas prove that the country is filled with talent and innovation.
Hilda, who had already earned global fame in 2023 for breaking the record for the longest cooking marathon, has now added another world record to her name. This latest success further cements her place as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated chefs.
