EPL: Mikel Arteta names 9 eligible players in Arsenal’s Premier League squad [See list]

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has confirmed the club’s Premier League squad for the 2025/26 season. The list was announced after the summer transfer window officially closed.

The squad features 21 senior players, along with a separate group of U21 players and scholars. These young talents are included no matter their nationality, giving Arsenal more depth for the long season ahead.

One of the highlights of the announcement is the presence of nine players who are eligible to represent Nigeria internationally, though many of them also qualify to play for other countries. This shows how much Nigerian heritage is represented in Arsenal’s youth system.

According to the official list on Arsenal’s website, the nine names are: Khari Ranson, Josh Nichols, Cam’ron Ismail, Josh Ogunnaike, Samuel Onyekachukwu, Ethan Nwaneri, Ife Ibrahim, Andre Harriman-Annous, and Daniel Oyetunde.

These youngsters are all products of Arsenal’s Hale End Academy, which is well-known for producing stars like Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, and many others who went on to shine in the Premier League.

Some of them, including Oyetunde, Ranson, Nichols, Ismail, Nwaneri, and Harriman-Annous, have already signed professional contracts with the club. This is a big step in their football careers as they continue their development.

Even more impressive, players such as Nwaneri, Nichols, and Harriman-Annous have already been called up to Arsenal’s senior team for Premier League matches. This shows that Arteta has faith in the academy system and is ready to give these youngsters a chance.

For Nigerian football fans, this is exciting news because it increases the pool of players who may one day choose to represent the Super Eagles at international level. Arsenal, on the other hand, continues to prove that its academy remains one of the best in England for developing future stars.
