The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has suspended its nationwide strike that began after a dispute with the Dangote Group.
Earlier this week, the union declared an industrial action to protest the company’s refusal to allow its employees to become members of NUPENG.
The strike was called off after both sides reached an agreement during a meeting organized by the Department of State Services (DSS).
The dialogue was attended by the Ministers of Labour and Finance, representatives of the Dangote Group, and officials from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
