Singer Fola recently opened up during an interview with Beat 99.9FM about his move to Lagos and the challenges he faced when he first arrived.

He said he came to Lagos in 2018 simply because he wanted to see the city and experience life there.

However, things were not easy at the start. Fola admitted that life in Lagos was rough initially, and both living on his own and building his music career were big challenges. He added that despite the struggles, the city eventually welcomed him.

Fola then revealed a shocking experience from his very first day in Lagos. Laughing, he said that he was arrested and ended up spending the night in a police station.

Although he didn’t go into full detail about why he was arrested, he admitted that the experience almost made him consider leaving Lagos and going back home.
