Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique is set to have surgery after breaking his collarbone in a cycling accident, the club confirmed on Friday.
Enrique was involved in a bike crash and was quickly taken to the hospital. Scans showed the injury was a fractured collarbone, but doctors confirmed there were no other complications.
PSG said on X, “Following a bicycle fall this Friday, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique received emergency medical attention and will have surgery for a fractured collarbone.
The club fully supports him and wishes him a speedy recovery. More updates will follow.”
PSG are scheduled to play Lens in Ligue 1 on September 14, before starting their Champions League campaign against Atalanta three days later.
Since joining PSG in 2023, Enrique has led the club to two league titles, two French Cups, the Champions League, and a FIFA Club World Cup final appearance.
