It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a prominent Nigerian oil mogul and politician. Senator Ubah died at the age of 52 after suffering a heart attack while staying at a hotel in London.
Senator Ubah was well-known for his significant contributions to both the political and business landscapes in Nigeria. He founded Capital Oil in 2001, a company that has since become a major player in the oil industry. Beyond his business acumen, Ubah was deeply involved in politics and was a key figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State.
Just days before his untimely death, Senator Ubah demonstrated his commitment to the APC by donating a total of N71 million to support the party’s activities in Anambra. Of this amount, N50 million came directly from Senator Ubah himself, underscoring his dedication to enhancing the party’s effectiveness in the region.
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah is survived by his wife, Uchenna, and their five children. His passing is a significant loss to both his family and the broader community, who will remember him for his entrepreneurial spirit and political contributions.
