Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has sealed a two-year contract with Saudi Women’s Premier League side Al Hilal, leaving Bay FC in the United States to continue her career in the Middle East.
According to The Athletic, the six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday to undergo her medical. The move was finalized just before the transfer window closed.
Bay FC and Al Hilal reached an agreement on an undisclosed transfer fee, and after completing her medical, the Nigerian forward was officially cleared to sign with the Saudi club.
Earlier this year, the 29-year-old joined Bay FC following a highly successful spell with FC Barcelona Femeni. During her time in Spain, she lifted several league titles, won the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and collected Golden Boot awards.
In her debut season with Bay FC, Oshoala made 23 starts in 25 games, scoring seven goals. However, her playing time reduced this year, with only five starts in 12 matches and no goals to her name.
Her arrival represents a major addition for Al Hilal, who finished sixth in the 2024–25 Saudi Women’s Premier League season, as the competition expanded from eight to ten teams.

Oshoala now joins her fellow Super Falcons teammates Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega, both of whom also play in Saudi Arabia.
