David Luiz, the former Chelsea defender, is reportedly facing allegations of sending threatening messages to a female social worker after she turned down his request for a threesome.
A court in Brazil has issued a restraining order to protect 26-year-old Francisca Karollainy Barbosa Cavalcante from Luiz.
Luiz, 38, denies making any threats or ever meeting Miss Cavalcante in person, though he admits he messaged her on Instagram.
According to police reports, Miss Cavalcante received threatening messages soon after her alleged relationship with Luiz ended.
She claims she refused an invitation from Luiz to join a threesome, which reportedly led to a heated argument between them.
Luiz, who also played two seasons for Arsenal, is currently engaged to his long-time girlfriend Bruna Loureiro.
The former Brazil international allegedly warned Miss Cavalcante about his “money and power” in the messages.
Screenshots presented to police show Luiz allegedly threatened that her son could “pay the consequences.”
Another alleged message reportedly read, “I can simply make you disappear.”
Miss Cavalcante says Luiz also offered her £14,000 after she reported the threats, asking her to leave his life, which she refused.
After rejecting the money, Luiz is said to have repeated his threats, warning that she would not live long, according to official reports.
The social worker shared the screenshots with authorities, stating the messages made her fear for both her life and her son’s safety.
Miss Cavalcante claims that after going public, she felt watched and had to change hotels multiple times for safety.

She first met Luiz after he contacted her online and invited her to stay at a hotel in Fortaleza, the capital of Ceará, Brazil, according to local media.
Her lawyer, Fabiano Tavora, noted that Luiz often paid for expensive hotels, sometimes costing up to £140 per night.
Within 24 hours of filing the police report, a restraining order was granted to protect Miss Cavalcante.
Luiz now plays for Cypriot team Pafos but maintains he never met the social worker in person.
He acknowledged messaging her but denies sending threats, stating: “I never threatened anyone, I never threatened this person, I was never with this person physically, I was never at the hotel they say I was at.”
His communications team confirmed that legal action is ongoing.

David Luiz is best known for his Premier League career with Chelsea and Arsenal, winning the Champions League, Europa League, and FA Cup during his first spell in England between 2011 and 2015.
