A Nigerian woman, Abilo Lovelyn Bunenizibe, has gone public with claims against her ex-husband, Morris Ebitimi Joseph, accusing him of stalking and harassment since their separation.
In a Facebook post on Monday, September 1, 2025, the mother of twin girls alleged that her ex-husband often shows up at her home uninvited and tries to create unnecessary problems in her life.
She also said Joseph has been threatening to disgrace her, insisting that people would laugh at her for being a divorced woman raising two children on her own.
Abilo further revealed that Joseph has refused to officially take back his bride price, even though her family has made efforts to return it.
She added that he has been reaching out to people she no longer has a relationship with, just to mock her.
Making her position clear, she wrote: “This is to let the public know that Joseph and I are no longer together. We live separate lives. He does not support me or my children—I take care of everything myself.”
According to her, Joseph has twice rejected attempts for the bride price to be settled, making the separation process drag on unnecessarily.
She pleaded with concerned parties to encourage him to complete the process so she can finally move on.
She also begged him to stop showing up at her apartment or trying to interfere in her private life. “My personal life is no longer connected to you, Joseph. I deserve to live in peace,” she added.
Abilo claimed that Joseph vowed to embarrass her, saying he would post on her school blog and expose her publicly just to shame her. She said he even contacted her old friends to ridicule her.
In conclusion, Abilo declared: “I have spoken out myself, so there is nothing left to expose. Please, just leave me alone.”
