Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has shared the two teams he believes will be Liverpool’s biggest rivals in the Premier League title race this season.
The Egyptian star was in brilliant form last campaign, scoring 29 goals as the Reds lifted their 20th league trophy. Under new boss Arne Slot, Liverpool finished the season strongly, ending 10 points ahead of Arsenal and 13 clear of Manchester City in third place.
This weekend, the Reds are set for a huge showdown as they host Arsenal at Anfield in what many see as an early title decider. Both teams have started the season perfectly, winning their first two matches. Tottenham are the only other side yet to drop points.
Ahead of the clash, Salah told Sky Sports that Arsenal are the biggest favourites this season. According to him, the Gunners have kept their squad and manager together for about five to six years, which makes them stronger because they fully understand each other’s style of play.
He went on to explain that Liverpool and Manchester City have both made several changes to their squads, which can sometimes be difficult to adjust to. However, Salah admitted that with Pep Guardiola in charge, City will always be seen as a strong favourite.
Still, Salah made it clear where he stands: in his view, Arsenal are number one in the title race this season.
