On July 24, the Adamawa state police command detained a 30-year-old man named Hussaini Salihu for allegedly sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl.

The culprit allegedly had sexual relations with the girl after luring her into his home and giving her N2,000 before making off. After the victim’s mother reported him, the police tracked him out and arrested him.

The command spokeswoman, SP Nguroje, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect voluntarily provided a confessional statement and will face legal charges.
