Newcastle United icon, Alan Shearer, has urged Alexander Isak to fire his agent after the confusion surrounding his possible move this summer.

The Swedish forward and his representative are reportedly trying to force a move away from Newcastle, with Liverpool as his preferred destination in the ongoing transfer window.

However, the situation escalated after Newcastle turned down Liverpool’s initial £110 million offer for the 24-year-old.

Following the rejection, Isak openly criticised Newcastle, claiming the club had broken their promises and betrayed his trust.

In response, the Magpies dismissed his accusations in an official statement, insisting there was no truth in his claims.

Reacting to the drama, Shearer told Betfair that the player’s agent had handled the transfer poorly: “What a mess his agent has created. If I were him, I would sack him straight away because he advised him to sign a six-year deal with no release clause. That’s a big mistake.”
