A man in Delta State was arrested just six days after he was released from prison for stealing a motorcycle. Police confirmed that the man had previously served a two-year sentence for the same crime. After completing his jail term, he returned to criminal activity almost immediately.
During questioning, the suspect admitted that he had been tempted to commit the crime again. The police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, said the man had finished his two-year sentence at Ogwashi-Ukwu Correction Centre and quickly went back to stealing motorcycles shortly after his release.
This case highlights how some individuals may return to crime even after serving time, and authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant.
