At least two nations have confirmed their spots in the quarter-finals of the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN 2025).
Kenya and Tanzania are the first countries to advance to the last-8 stage.
Kenya secured their quarter-final place in Group A with one match remaining, after DR Congo beat Angola 2-0 on Thursday, according to INFOLAND reports.
This result leaves the Harambee Stars at the top of Group A with 7 points. Morocco, who defeated Zambia 3-1 earlier on Thursday, and DR Congo sit in second and third place with 6 points each.
Kenya has a head-to-head advantage over both Morocco and DR Congo, having beaten each team 1-0 during earlier group stage matches.
Morocco and DR Congo will now face each other in their final group match this weekend. The winner of that game will join Kenya in advancing from Group A.
Meanwhile, Tanzania has already qualified from Group B, topping the table with 9 points even before playing their last group game.
