Absolutely not acceptable – Actress Mary Remmy Njoku slams airport staff for manhandling female passenger and releasing indecent video

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku has spoken out against the handling of Comfort Emmanson, an Ibom Air passenger accused of attacking a crew member. Njoku condemned both the alleged manhandling and the release of a video showing Emmanson in an indecent state.

According to Njoku, escorting the passenger off the plane was understandable, but exposing her body and sharing the video online was humiliating and inhumane.

She stressed that airline and airport workers are trained to manage difficult passengers, but stripping someone naked is not part of that training.

The actress insisted that Emmanson should be compensated for the harm to her dignity and that the staff involved should face strict sanctions.

Njoku said she could not understand why the woman was stripped and filmed. She argued that professionals should protect a person’s dignity, no matter the offense. Even the police, she noted, make sure that suspects remain clothed during public parades.

Mary Remmy Njoku concluded that while Emmanson should face the consequences of her actions, she should not be the only one penalized. The damage to her dignity affects all Nigerian women, and the public humiliation was completely unacceptable.
