Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi has broken his silence on the rape allegations made against him.

Speaking in an interview with Foot Africa, the Moroccan international insisted that he is innocent and has nothing to hide. His statement came shortly after the Nanterre prosecutor’s office requested that the case proceed to trial.

Hakimi described the allegations as painful and deeply unfair, saying that being wrongly accused is something he would never wish on anyone. He expressed confidence that the truth will eventually be revealed.

The football star added that he has no reason to feel guilty, stressing that those who truly know him are aware of his innocence.

He said he remains calm and is concentrating on the most important aspects of his life—his family and his football career—while trusting that justice will prevail.

The case stems from an incident in March 2023, when Hakimi was accused of raping a 24-year-old woman.

Reports allege that he invited her to his home in Boulogne-Billancourt, a suburb of Paris, while his wife and children were on holiday, and that he paid for her travel expenses.
