Gunmen abduct woman, daughter, injure teenage boy in Kano

Gunmen attacked a home in Kano State’s Tudun Wada Local Government Area, kidnapping a 50-year-old woman and her teenage daughter. The attack also left a 13-year-old boy injured.

Security expert Zagazola reported on X that the incident happened in the early hours of Thursday, August 8, in Yarmariya village.

Armed with dangerous weapons, the attackers stormed the home of Alhaji Audu Shehu at about 1:45 a.m. They took away his wife, Mrs. Laure Audu, and their 15-year-old daughter, Miss Basira Audu. During the attack, the gunmen shot Shehu’s son, Ibrahim Audu, in the left leg.

Police officers from Tudun Wada Division rushed to the scene and took the injured boy to the General Hospital in Tudun Wada for medical care.

The Kano State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are underway. They assured that efforts are being made to rescue the abducted victims and capture the suspects.
