Obi Levi Obieze, better known as Ichie Millions Ezeani, showed up in court on August 6 wearing a smile, despite facing disturbing accusations of being involved in ritual killings, including claims that pregnant women were buried alive.

He was taken into custody while trying to flee the country, shortly after an angry group of young people from his hometown stormed his house in Ezeagu, Enugu State. The raid happened on May 28, 2025, following an unsuccessful attempt to abduct a 13-year-old girl, which locals suspected was for ritual use.

Residents who participated in the raid reported a shocking discovery. They claimed to have found pits on the property that resembled soak-away tanks but were allegedly used to bury victims of ritual acts, including pregnant women.

The situation has sparked widespread anger and demand for a thorough investigation. Authorities confirmed that Ichie Millions was arrested while trying to escape and is currently in custody as the legal process moves forward.
