A heartbroken family has shared details for the burial of a young couple who were killed by suspected bandits.

Obinna Princewill Kaburu and his wife, Ifeyinwa Kaburu, both aged 34, were attacked and killed on July 24, 2025, while inside their shop. The tragic incident cut their lives short and left many in shock.

Obinna was from Ohokobe Mdume Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State, while his wife, Ifeyinwa, hailed from Umuogudu Akpu Mgbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Their untimely deaths have thrown both families and communities into deep mourning, as they try to come to terms with the loss.

According to the family, the burial will take place on Friday, August 8, 2025. Their bodies will be taken from the mortuary at 7:00 a.m. and transported to their hometown in Umuodom, Ohokobe Mdume Ibeku, Umuahia North, where they will be laid to rest.

The couple is survived by their grieving parents, siblings, friends, and four young children left behind.
