Serie A: Super Eagles star, Dele-Bashiru makes promises to Lazio boss, Sarri

Super Eagles star, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, has shared his determination to grow and perform better as the new Serie A season approaches. The Nigerian midfielder recently had a chat with Lazio’s new coach, Maurizio Sarri, and promised to give his best on the pitch.

Dele-Bashiru said he is focused on getting better at scoring goals and helping his team. He made this known after playing in Lazio’s recent friendly match against Turkish side Fenerbahçe, which ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Italian club.

The 23-year-old started the match but was substituted at the start of the second half by experienced defender Matías Vecino. Despite the loss, Dele-Bashiru said the game was important for the team’s preparation and learning.

He also expressed hope that Sarri’s leadership would bring positive changes to Lazio. Speaking about the new coach, Dele-Bashiru said he is committed to listening and learning from Sarri’s tactics during training.

“If I keep training hard and stay focused, I believe I can become a stronger player,” he said.

Dele-Bashiru added that his main goal is to help the team, whether through goals or assists. “If I get the chance to play, I’ll do my best to prove myself,” he said.

The Nigerian star is one of the young players fans will be watching closely as Lazio prepares for the new Serie A season under Maurizio Sarri.
