Tijani, the son of legendary Nigerian singer Onyeka Onwenu, has taken to social media to honour his late mother. In a heartfelt tribute, he marked the one-year anniversary of her passing, sharing his love and memories of the woman who meant so much to him.

Onyeka Onwenu, popularly called the Elegant Stallion, died on July 30, 2024. She passed away while performing at a birthday party in Lagos, leaving behind a rich legacy in music, activism, and culture.

The beloved icon was 72 years old at the time of her death. Her graceful presence and powerful voice continue to inspire many in Nigeria and beyond.
