Vince McMahon, who once led World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), got into a serious road accident last Thursday on Route 15 in Westport, Connecticut, USA.
According to local police, McMahon’s vehicle was one of three cars involved in the incident close to Exit 41 on the highway.
Reports say he hit the back of another car, which made his car swerve and crash into a wooden barrier. Some broken parts from the accident also hit a third vehicle. Thankfully, nobody got hurt.
The address Vince gave to police is linked to WWE’s old headquarters — a building that reminds many of his strong influence in wrestling for many years.
Police gave McMahon two citations: one for driving too close and another for reckless driving. Both are minor charges under Connecticut law. He was allowed to go after posting bail and is due in court on August 26.
This crash comes at a tough time for McMahon. He stepped away from WWE after facing serious misconduct claims. Even though he played a big role in turning wrestling into a worldwide show, he’s been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons lately. WWE is now moving forward under new leadership and has merged with UFC to form TKO Group Holdings.
So far, McMahon and his team have not made any public comments about the incident.
