No governor will oppose Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 – Gov Uba Sani

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has said that by the time the 2027 election comes around, it will be hard for any Nigerian governor to go against President Bola Tinubu’s re-election plans.

He made this statement during a special event focused on improving communication between the government and citizens. The event was hosted by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation and held at Arewa House in Kaduna.

According to Governor Sani, the president has gained strong backing across the country, especially among governors, due to his leadership style and political influence. He hinted that Tinubu’s wide support would likely make his second-term campaign easier.

In his words;

“No president in Nigeria’s history has supported governors and sub-national governments the way President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently doing. As a result, it is unlikely that any governor in Nigeria would go against the president.

For the first time in Nigeria’s history, the government is engaging with non-state actors to discuss progress and assess the situation in northern Nigeria.

This unprecedented approach reflects a shift in how national issues are being addressed.”
