The government of Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos has decided to change the name of a popular bus stop. The bus stop, which was called Charly Boy Bus Stop, is now renamed Baddo Bus Stop.
This new name is to honour Nigerian music star Olamide Adedeji, who is better known as Baddo. He is known and loved for his big contribution to the music industry in Nigeria.
The announcement about the name change was made on Friday, July 25.
Chairman of the Bariga LCDA, Kolade Alabi David, revealed this during the opening of some new projects in the area.
The bus stop was originally named after entertainer Charles Oputa, also called Charly Boy. So far, Charly Boy has not said anything about the change.
