A 25-year-old man named Abdulraman Rabiu is accused of killing his cousin, Adamu Abubakar, during a fight in the North Bank area of Makurdi, Benue State.

The incident reportedly happened early Wednesday morning at a location known as Lafia Garage in Makurdi.

According to a police officer, the two cousins got into a fight, and during the argument, Abdulraman allegedly stabbed 35-year-old Adamu.

After the stabbing, a group of angry people in the area attacked Abdulraman and beat him badly before police arrived and took him to Divine Love Hospital for treatment.

Both Abdulraman and Adamu were rushed to the same hospital, but sadly, Adamu was confirmed dead while doctors were trying to save him.

The police have now handed the case over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for a deeper investigation.
