Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie recently shared his views on the political behavior of Igbo men, saying they don’t make strong politicians.
He explained that many Igbos are not used to dealing with betrayal, which is often a part of politics.
According to Edochie, this lack of tolerance for disloyalty causes many Igbo politicians to cut ties with people who could be useful allies, which then hurts their political careers.
In an interview with Afia TV, Edochie said, “Igbo men aren’t built to handle political games. People who grow up around politics learn to ignore many things. But an Igbo man won’t tolerate being betrayed more than once. Once someone tricks him, he’ll never give that person another chance. That’s how Igbo men behave.”
He added that once an Igbo man notices any sign of betrayal, he ends the relationship completely and refuses to work with the person again.
