WAFCON 2024: Super Falcons to face Morocco in final

Morocco has made it to the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after winning a tough semi-final match against Ghana through penalties on Tuesday night.

The game was played in Rabat and ended 1-1 after 120 minutes, as neither team could get the winning goal in normal time or extra time.

Ghana took the lead in the 26th minute when Stella Nyamekye scored for the Black Queens.

Morocco came back strong after the break, and Sakina Ouzraoui got the equalizer just ten minutes into the second half.

During the penalty shoot-out, Morocco scored their first four kicks. Ghana also started well with two successful penalties, but both Evelyn Badu and Comfort Yeboah missed their shots.

Morocco will now face Nigeria’s Super Falcons in the final. The Nigerian team is hoping to win their 10th WAFCON title, making it a record.

The final match will be played this Saturday, and fans across Africa are looking forward to the exciting showdown.
