In fairness and equity, the next President of Nigeria should come from the South East- actor Yul Edochie

Popular Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has said that for the sake of fairness and equity, the next president of Nigeria should come from the South East region.

He explained that the South East has not had a fair chance to lead the country and that it would be just for the region to produce the next president. Yul believes this will help promote unity and balance in the country.

Even though he supports President Bola Tinubu, Yul shared this opinion in a video he posted on social media on Sunday, July 21. In the video, he made it clear that supporting President Tinubu doesn’t stop him from speaking the truth about fairness in leadership.

According to him, Nigeria belongs to everyone, and it’s only right that leadership rotates fairly among the different regions. Giving the South East a chance, he said, will show that all parts of Nigeria are treated equally.

Yul’s comment has sparked reactions online, with many agreeing that it is time for the South East to take a turn at the presidency.
