Popular singer Ayra Starr has shared why Wizkid sometimes says he’s “always sick” of her. In a recent interview on the eTalk show, she revealed that she loves joking around with him and always tries to make him laugh.

Ayra praised Wizkid not just as a music legend, but also as someone who is naturally funny. She said their friendship is full of playful moments, and most times, he ends up being the one she teases the most.

She said: “Wizkid is an amazing friend and an amazing person to be around.

“I could learn so much from him. He’s hilarious and we have the same humour, so he’s always sick of me because I try to make him laugh or something.”

The ‘Rush’ hitmaker also talked about how their friendship has grown. She remembered being very nervous the first time they worked together in the studio. At that time, she was shy and felt scared because of Wizkid’s huge fame and success.

“During my first session, I was panicking because it was Wizkid. But now we’ve done our music video together and I’m older. He’s always telling me how much I’ve grown. 

“He’s such an amazing artist and having such an icon working with me shows how much of an amazing artist I am… I had to sneak that in,” she said.

But with time, Ayra said she got more comfortable around him. She now enjoys his relaxed and fun personality. According to her, he has a great sense of humor, which makes it easy to bond.

Both stars have teamed up on a few music projects. One of their latest songs, “Gimme Dat,” has been doing well and receiving positive reactions from fans.
