At least nine people have died in a recent attack by bandits in Zamfara State. Among the victims were five members of the Zamfara Community Protection Guards (ZCPG), along with their leader, Garba Dogo.
This attack happened on Friday afternoon in the farming village of Jangebe, located in the Talata Mafara Local Government Area.
A security expert named Bakatsine shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday. He said the victims were attacked while they were working on their farms.
According to his post, “Bandits attacked farmers this afternoon in Jangebe, Talata Mafara LGA, Zamfara State. Nine people were killed, including five ZCPG members and their commander, Garba Dogo.”
The post also mentioned that many other people were kidnapped during the attack.
