Nigerian footballer Ademola Lookman, who plays as a winger for the Super Eagles, is reportedly set to move from Atalanta to Inter Milan in a transfer worth €40 million.
Italian sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio shared that Inter Milan is very serious about signing Lookman. They are ready to offer a strong deal to Atalanta and have already agreed personal terms with the player.
Di Marzio confirmed that Inter has already settled everything with Lookman and has a €40 million bid ready for Atalanta.
Lookman, who used to play for Leicester City, still has a contract with Atalanta that runs until 2027. However, talks between both clubs have begun. Inter hopes Atalanta will keep to a previous promise to let the player leave this summer.
Although Atalanta is asking for €50 million, Inter is only willing to pay €40 million. They have made it clear that they won’t raise their offer.
The report also noted that Lookman has already said yes to the move. This is why Inter wants to wrap up the deal quickly. If the talks take too long, Inter might start looking at other options, such as Nico Gonzalez.
Lookman had a brilliant 2024–25 season, scoring 15 goals and playing a key role in helping Atalanta win the UEFA Europa League.
