Transfer: Galatasaray in ‘cold war’ with Napoli over Osimhen

Galatasaray and Napoli are currently not getting along over Victor Osimhen’s possible transfer. The two clubs are not openly fighting but are in a quiet standoff over the deal.

Galatasaray, the Turkish league champions, want to sign Osimhen permanently this summer.

The 26-year-old striker played last season on loan with Galatasaray and is reportedly interested in staying with the team.

Even though Galatasaray has agreed to pay the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract, Napoli is still not allowing the deal to go through.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is making extra demands that are not written in Osimhen’s contract, which is causing the delay.

The report also says De Laurentiis wants Galatasaray to pay in parts, give Napoli 20% from any future transfer of Osimhen, and guarantee that the player won’t be sold to another Italian club for the next three years.

Because of these conditions, Galatasaray is reportedly considering taking the matter to FIFA if an agreement isn’t reached soon.
