Hanan Aisha, one of the daughters of Nigeria’s former President Muhammadu Buhari, has shared an emotional message following his death.

The former President died on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at a hospital in London. He was 82 years old.

On Wednesday, July 16, Hanan expressed her sorrow through a heartfelt Instagram post. She thanked God for allowing her to be by her father’s side during his final moments.

She posted a touching photo of herself holding his hand before he passed away. In her message, she said the pain of losing him is very deep, but she finds comfort in the love he showed her.

According to Hanan, her father taught her what true love means. She felt thankful to be able to give him a goodbye kiss.

She ended her tribute by saying that she would carry the pain of missing him forever because having his love was a blessing
