Transfer: Guardiola tells six players to leave Man City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is preparing to let go of at least six players before the next football season begins.

Some of these players have been regular members of the first team, like John Stones and Ilkay Gundogan.

Manchester City has made several signings in both the winter and summer windows. This comes after they struggled to keep up with Liverpool and Arsenal in last season’s title race.

While more players might still join the team, Guardiola wants a smaller group of players to work with. So, some footballers will be leaving.

According to The Athletic, 31-year-old John Stones has now been made available for transfer.

Ilkay Gundogan might also leave the club, even though he just returned to Manchester City from Barcelona a year ago.

Midfielder Mateo Kovacic is another name being mentioned as one of those who may leave, as the club looks to reduce the number of players in the squad.

Other players who could be on their way out include Nico O’Reilly, Claudio Echeverri, and Oscar Bobb.
