Mamman Daura, the nephew of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has been hospitalised in London. Reports say he is unwell and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital, though the name of the hospital has not been made public.

His health condition was confirmed by the office of Vice President Kashim Shettima. The update came during a statement about Shettima’s recent trip to London.

While in London, Vice President Shettima visited the family of the late President Buhari. The visit was part of efforts to help coordinate the return of Buhari’s body to Nigeria for burial.

In the official statement shared by Shettima’s media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, it was mentioned that the Vice President also stopped by to see Mamman Daura, who is said to be recovering at the hospital.

As Nigeria prepares to lay its former leader to rest, Buhari’s remains are expected to arrive in the country tomorrow for the burial ceremony.
