Arsenal is planning to bring in at least three new players this week as manager Mikel Arteta continues to strengthen the team during the summer transfer window.
The club has finally reached an agreement to sign striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. The deal was confirmed on Sunday night.
Arsenal will pay an initial fee of £55 million for Gyokeres, with additional payments that could go up to £8.6 million based on performance-related clauses.
Gyokeres, a 27-year-old Swedish striker who once played for Brighton, has already agreed to a five-year contract. He is expected to undergo his medical tests this week.
Arsenal is also working on finalising the transfer of Noni Madueke from Chelsea. The deal is expected to be completed in the coming days.
Madueke has already completed his medical examination, and both clubs have agreed to a £48 million fee with £4 million in possible add-ons.
Talks are also progressing for the signing of Christian Mosquera from Valencia. Both clubs are close to agreeing on a fee, and discussions will continue this week.
